3 May 2021 – Decimomannu AFB
From 2 to the 14 May takes place on the basis of Beja, in Portugal, the usual annual Tiger Meet. Unfortunately in the 2020 the appointment was skipped for the well-known reasons, but in 2021 tradition resumes, and this year the host flock is the Esquadra 301 “Jaguares” della Portuguese Air Force.
Among the participants the 335 Wonderful Greek, based in Araxos, who sent 4 F 16. Among them a single-seater specimen Special Color brindle.
The transfer of the 4 hunting involved an intermediate stopover and for the refueling the base was chosen that strategically is located exactly in the center of the Mediterranean: Decimomannu.
And our correspondent on Effective Permanent Service did not deny himself and was found next to the landing path of the Sardinian base.
The day was not perfect and the usual blue sky was covered with gray clouds but our Roberto did not lose heart and shares these remarkable contributions.
