20 September 2017 – Tenth Air Force Base
Another master stroke of our Agent in Sardinia.
From 5 September are in fact allocated on the airport of Decimomannu 5 Tornado IX(B) Squadron Marham participating in the exercise Serpentex 2017.
The Tonkas group was supported by some Airbus A 400M Atlas 1 C 17 RAF Globemaster III. The machines were equipped with Litening III pod, capable of searching the fight scene with his FLIR girostabilizzato and point targets with integrated laser. Furthermore, it is also capable, thanks to the ROVER system to engage targets aimed by a ground laser.
The day 20 September was allowed inside the airport to a group of enthusiasts and our correspondent was among them.
