19 May 2012 - Meiringen airport
And here we are, for the 3rd time this year, in the beautiful airport Meiringen. The occasion is the arrival of a beautiful old, still very spry. It is a three-engined Junkers Ju Ju Air 52/3m the company that will perform today some tourist flights over the Bernese Alps.
The plane arrives at 8.45 and looks new, in spite of 73 years leading on the wings. The defendants are a lot of fans but only some may fly, others are content to photograph it on the ground. For a few moments you can even go inside where it seems that time has stopped, with leather seats and flyers pilots in wood.
Operations set in motion and take off can be observed closely. The goodwill of BMW 132 Star is fascinating and takes you back in time, when the puffs of smoke were normal in the airports of the world.
The event brought in Meiringen also some small historic aircraft monoplanes and bi, as well as some cars kept in superb condition by nostalgic enthusiasts.
At the end of the day we carry on the top of a shelter in the perimeter of the airport from vantage point to witness the landing of Tante Ju (Zia Ju, as he was nicknamed at the time).
The landing speed is very low, favored the extension of the flaps on the entire trailing edge of the 2 ali. The plane seems to float in the air while the radial engines idling. The long wings do not seem to want the machine to lay the ground. At the end the plane lands. Another beautiful day spent on one of the most beautiful in Europe aeroprti.
