9 November 2009 – Cervia AFB
This is the second time we have been invited to attend night flights in Cervia. Although the weather did not bode well we do not miss the chance. during the journey, a Bologna, we invested a true tropical monsoon but we do not discourage.
Once in Cervia the sky is swollen gray clouds and, during the pre-flight checks begin to fall the first drops. The planes that will fly tonight I 4 and we can see all the preparations closely. The ballet of pilots and specialists around the Vipers is always very charming. The leaden sky adds to the atmosphere. Take-off with afterburner turned on is simple poem.
Soon after we repaired inside to not get wet to the bone. Inside the hangar there are some aircraft engaged in maintenance. There is also the Special Color already seen a couple of months back, the last time we came to the night (see which). This time we manage to photograph it from a slightly unusual perspective.
Let's go back out for landings but between the dark and the water that pours we can do little: only a few pictures from a distance to the machines that are hospitalized in shelters.
But this was also an opportunity to review the Friends, those with a capital. And so, for once, planes are secondary.
When there is a company so you can even do without photographs and Falcons.
Anyway…..the photos are yours
