4 November 2007 – Piacenza Air Base
Also this year we have decided, on the occasion of the Feast of the Armed Forces, to delight us with the Tornado ECR of Piacenza.
The day is truly delightful and the sky is a very rare color for November.
In addition to the local Tornadoes (an ECR outdoors and an IDS inside a shelter) an AMX from the 51st with the Special Color drift and an F 16A ADF from the 5th Wing are on display, as well as various service vehicles (tower crane, fire engines, ambulances, etc.). All aircraft are loaded with AIM 9L Sidewinder missile simulacra, AIM 120 AMRAAM o AGM 88 HARM, in addition to any tanks.
Also, inside the shelter, a Mauser BK cannon was also on display 27 with the relative ammunition and a pod for the in-flight refueling buddy-buddy of the Tornado.
Overall an interesting release. Among other things, I succeeded, once in a while, to bring my son Luca too (12 age) who canonized the static properly and gave me a hand to document the event
